Changing tables are available in restrooms around the area and at Madam Blaa. Ask at the Welcome Center.

Driving personal vehicles on our premises is not allowed. However, you might encounter our own vehicles while walking around the area.

On select days, there are cars on the premises, such as during SWAPMEET, Asfaltbal, etc., and information about this will be available on the website.

If you arrive in a vintage vehicle from 1959 or earlier on regular opening days, you - as the driver - get free admission.

Passengers must present a valid entry ticket. Contact us if you want to cruise around the premises in a vintage vehicle.

On days with the SWAPMEET event, cars from 1989 or earlier are allowed.

When taking photos and filming, remember that it should be for personal use.

During large events, Nyvang also has temporary food stations around the area.

Oplevelsescenter Nyvang offers a wide range of activities and venues for your next event.

When you book an event, you support our work in conveying our shared cultural history for future generations!

We have several handicap parking spaces close to the Welcome Center.

It is easy to get around the area with a wheelchair and walker, and many buildings are accessible with a wheelchair and walker. However, there are places where it hasn't been possible to create an accessible entrance.

Feel free to contact the secretariat for questions and guidance.

We have a limited number of wheelchairs that can be borrowed with prior reservation.

It is possible to take a tour around Nyvang with our golf cart. Contact our administration at +45 5943 4030 or nyvang@andelslandsbyen.dk for further information.

Additionally, we have a golf cart for those who are handicapped or have difficulty walking, to take a tour around the area. The golf cart is only for those who are handicapped or have difficulty walking.

There may be a wait time to get a tour if it is already in use. Contact the administration for booking and further information.

Handicap restrooms are available on the premises.

Companions with a valid companion card get free admission.

Starting January 1, 2024, riding horses on our premises is not allowed.

Nyvang has defibrillators in two locations on the premises. One at the Welcome Center, which is always accessible, and one at our Community Hall, which is accessible during Nyvang's opening hours.

Defibrillators save lives, and Nyvang finds it relevant to have them available.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash and are not allowed in buildings (service dogs excepted).

We have water for dogs in several places, including at Madam Blaa.

At the Welcome Center, you can rent a wagon for the little ones, a picnic basket, and gear.

It costs 25 DKK to rent a wagon.

Our guests are very welcome to bring their own food and enjoy it at one of our resting areas on the premises.

If it rains and there are no other activities in the Community Hall, it is also possible to eat your brought food there. (New activities are continuously added, so you cannot reserve a place in the Community Hall to eat your own food in advance.)

In rainy weather, smaller groups can find shelter for eating packed lunches in the houses at the Activity Square.

If you have been unfortunate enough to lose something on our premises, any found items (if located) will be handed in at our Welcome Center.

Please note that the Welcome Center follows Nyvang’s opening hours, which you can find here.

In the same building as our Welcome Center, you will also find our Museum Shop.

Here, you can find souvenirs and period-appropriate items to buy for yourself or give as gifts.

The Museum Shop follows Nyvang's opening days and hours.

We have a large parking lot, and parking is free.

Additionally, there are several handicap parking spaces close to the Welcome Center.

Opening Hours 2025

Easter at Nyvang: April 14th, 15th, and 16th
After the 16th, closed until the first opening day on April 24th (also closed during the public holidays of Easter).

Early Season: April 24th – June 30th
Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Closed on Monday and Friday.

High Season: July 1st – August 3rd
Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Closed on Friday.

Late Season: August 4th – October 19th
Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Closed on Monday and Friday.

Autumn Break: October 11th – 19th
Open every day during week 42 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Oplevelsescenter Nyvang is located outside Holbæk, close to the highway.

We have a large parking lot right by the entrance, so there is always space for your car.

We also offer parking for buses as well as handicap parking.

Accessibility

We have several accessible parking spaces close to the Welcome Center.

It is easy to get around the area with a wheelchair or walker, and many of the buildings are accessible. However, there are some places where creating a wheelchair-friendly entrance was not possible. Please feel free to contact the office for any questions or guidance.

You can enjoy delicious Danish dishes at our eatery, Traktørsted Madam Blaa.

You are also very welcome to bring your own food and enjoy it at one of the rest areas in the grounds.

If it rains and there are no other activities taking place in the community hall, it is also possible to eat your packed lunch there. (New activities are constantly being added, so it is not possible to reserve a spot in the community hall in advance for eating packed lunches.)

You are very welcome to bring your dog to the area, but it must be kept on a leash.
